Lac Montriond
Morzine boasts many stunning lakes, but the largest and most sought-after lake is the Lac Montriond. Montriond is a freshwater, crystal clear lake surrounded by mountainous cliffs that should be a must see on anyone’s list. There’s a designated swimming area for visitors to enjoy and lots of daily activities such as canoeing, paddleboarding, sunbathing and you can even go on a pony ride!
Mountain biking
The mountains of Morzine is well known for its many biking trails. There are four large parks dotted across the Portes du Soleil and Morzine sits very much in the centre of these making all four easily accessible without needing a car. All levels are able to participate as each park have numerous slopes at different grades. They are all graded the same as the winter ski slopes- green being the easiest and black being the hardest. Our only piece of advice… just be careful not to follow someone down the wrong slope!
White water rafting
If you’re a bit more of an adrenaline junkie and you’re looking for an activity to satisfy those needs- why not go ahead and try out the white water rafting site! It’s the perfect way to cool off while having a fun, exhilarating experience. There’s an 8 man raft that’ll take you all the way down the choppy rive, but be warned- it can get a little scary!
Ziplining
If white water rafting wasn’t enough… boost your adrenaline even more with the huge Morzine based zipline Fantasticable. It’s one the most daring and thrilling activities on offer, if you’re a need for speed kind of person then this is a total must.
